Covenant Institute (CI) is the largest project we are currently undertaking and the development of this leadership training school is well underway. Our goal is to give foundational Bible teaching with a Covenant and Kingdom focus to current and emerging church leaders, missionaries, youth, and others hungry to be trained. Students of the Institute will be taught through one of our mentors (of which currently there are eight) located in different regions of the country. These mentors will supplied with DVD’s containing filmed class sessions that include class discussion. Two full courses have already been completed and several more are ready to be produced as funding is available.

CSM’S COVENANT INSTITUTE:
The Delivery: Coordinated through mentors utilizing DVD’s; phase 2 will utilize internet streaming.

The Mentors: CI Mentors are paid—they recruit students, facilitate the course, and administer the tests. Most importantly, these mentors assist individuals to incorporate truths into their lives. Each mentor will have a college degree and most will have a doctorate. Mentors will also have a pastoral recommendation, previous experience leading a small group and be a demonstration of Covenant and Kingdom truth.

Affordability:
Courses will be offered at a comparatively low tuition to include enrollees who could otherwise not afford such training. Tuition will cover the administration costs of training mentors and maintaining records. Atpresent we are establishing a $50 registration fee per student and a $125 fee per course.

The Ern Baxter Memorial Library, located in Mobile, AL, was the site of the first two CI courses offered on DVD. This Library (pictured below) houses more than 4,000 of Ern Baxter’s books and thousands of
periodicals, with a new addition of volumes from Charles Simpson’s personal library. All Covenant Institute students are welcome to visit and study this cherished theological/educational resource. Flexibility:
The course structure will allow an accelerated pace and diversity of venues. The next phase of CI will see the development of college credit toward a diploma/degree.

Funding required:
With two courses developed, CI has many more ready for production. Each course requires cameras and production crews, lighting equipment, post-production, computer software and editing —just to name a few of the costs.

Thank you for your interest in Covenant Institute. Throughout the years, Charles Simpson has continued to instill the solid theology of covenant/kingdom teaching in spirit-filled leaders. The results have extended across denominational lines and touched lives throughout the world. Many churches across the U.S. today are discipling and mentoring because of the influence of five charismatic teachers who walked out covenant relationships for a season. Concurrently, the teaching of the Kingdom has reached and is reaching many mainstream churches.

Yet rarely are we seeing what Ern Baxter so eloquently articulated when he spoke of the kingdom being “in the Holy Spirit.” Historical truth breathed on by the Spirit will change and equip new leaders for this new generation.

Covenant Institute is a seed being sown by God’s Spirit that will reap one hundred times over. We are broadcasting a powerful, life-changing perspective that will reach beyond our current spheres and arenas. We do not know who will take these courses and be challenged and changed. We do not know their locations, their histories, or their spheres. We do know the power of Kingdom truth and the joy of His covenant in practice. We are confident that Spirit-filled people who carry the truth of Christ’s kingdom and display the nature of His covenant will powerfully affect the world they live in.
