Two of my sister-in-laws has been diagnosed with cancer. One (3 years younger than me) has had surgery and they removed it. They believe they got it all, but up-coming test will show if Chemotherapy and/or Radiation therapy will be needed. Please Pray it/they will not be needed and for a full recovery.

The other (1 year older than me) is waiting to hear what is recommended and where she goes from here. Please Pray for peace and a complete healing.

Thank you and God bless,
Pat

BTW, For those who don't know, I turned 70 last June.

Thank you Hattie4him for letting us stand with you regarding your family. Cancer is a terrible disease. Every family is affected by this!! Please know that we stand with you in prayer and let us know how things are going and how else we can stand with you.

Marty had a set-back after surgery but is now healing well. She is now driving and has her next doctor’s appointment in April. If I understand correctly they will than do tests to see if they did get it all or if she’ll need Radiation and/or Chemotherapy. Please keep praying.

Jane had an appointment today; I’ll let everyone know when I know anything. Please keep praying.

Thank you, tvia35, for your prayers and your comforting words/post.

I thank all who have/are sending prayers in their behalf.

God bless,
Pat

I'm sorry that I've been so long posting again. Marty had another set back, an abscess formed where her incision was and it had to be lanced, so she is now home recovering again.

Jane is doing chemo and is due for her 4th treatment on Monday, 4 more to go after that (1 treatment every other week).

An ex-sister-in-law, Getta, of whom I loved dearly, died Feb. 9th. Mark, our nephew -- her youngest son said, Everything, we thought, was going good. Getta was on the road to recovery when her last chemo treatment really took it out of her... I saw her last Wednesday when she said she was tired of fighting it and asked Jesus in her heart to take her away. I rejoiced at hearing the news of her salvation. God moved quick and took her within a week. Her memorial service was Monday, Feb. 27th.

Like Gata, Pat B., a dear friend, was on the road to recovery when her last chemo treatment really took it out of her... , she passed away Feb 23rd, after fighting cancer and having several runs of chemo that didn't work. There was a celebration of life mass on Sat. the 25th.

Ginger B., a dear christian friend, posted this on Feb. 11th: Results were not good yesterday from the PET-Scan. Chemo. did not work after 3 rounds, it is much worse now. Dr. Kruter, increased my pain medication and is calling the hospice in York county for me now.
Yesterday, Feb. 29, 2012: I really like the poem, and was thinking about it for my Memorial Service, since I am collecting things I like to share.
Go Down, Death by James Weldon Johnson

Go Down, Death - by James Weldon Johnson .. Weep not, weep not, She is not dead; She's resting in the bosom of Jesus. Heart-broken husband--weep no more; Grief-stricken son--weep no more; Left-lonesome daughter --weep no more;<br

Today's post March 1, 2012: Thursday, March 1, 2012 - John 14:1 NIV - Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me. (We are lifted above our circumstances when we look into the face of Jesus. Gigi Graham Tchividjian). I am so very conforted by this verse. Ginger Basler
3/1/12 - day 20 of Home Hospice Care. Had a rough night, with back pain. Now under control and feeling much better, after getting the right pain med. formula from Herb. He really lifted me up last night, as I had no control getting up to the bathroom unless he was in charge. Now I am getting ready to eat my breakfast, etc. He is my blessing this morning and every morning.

Truly I have been overwhelmed by all of this, but what I can't understand is why since I first heard (while visiting both Marty & Jane) in Jan. I have been suffering from a chronic bough of Sinusitis and Bronchitis infection.
Therefore I ask you Prayers for all the above and/or their families. And for healing for me as well.

Thank you, and God bless,
Pat

Sorry Hattie. Just saw this.

My goodness. So sorry for the losses and the strain of these awful cancers cause. God is so good to reveal things through such hard times. I am so thankful that He holds you and them close.

I hope you are feeling much better with the sinusitus. Usually around this time of the year I too have a real bad bout with it. I believe I sometimes get this because I run around too much, dont get enough sleep and probably need to dust more!! A womans work is never done!

I am praying for your friends, family and yourself. Gods blessing on you dear one.
