Ben was speaking about the Godly spiritual principles upon which our nation was founded, and the sacrifices that were made to bring into being a nation whose God is the Lord. Ben was also speaking prophetically, looking down through the years to those who would come after him.
To a great extent our economic forcast parallels our spiritual forcast; i.e., how well are we handing everything pertaining to life and godliness?

For the last two years, we have been borrowing at the rate of 40 cents for every dollar our federal government spends!
Do not be suprised when this rate exceeds 50 cents for every dollar our federal government spends in FY2011!!!
