Dear Friends,
What is Faith? It is the assurance that what we hope for is going to happen. It is the evidence of things we cannot see. But sometimes when we take that step of faith it may be a little shaky. We may wonder is this really going to happen?
I remember when we were waiting for our first children to arrive. We had gotten everything ready, the beds were just waiting to be filled and the toys were waiting to be played with. Each night I would go into the rooms and wonder who would be coming? Whose little heads would lie on these pillows? I anxiously waited to meet these new little ones. Well, before I knew it, the children had arrived, each room was filled and God not only gave me children but a husband too. He did much more than I ever imagined. What started out as five children turned into eleven.
When we think about Godís faithfulness in the past it gives us hope and faith for the future. God has been so faithful and He is just waiting for us to take that step of faith and meet us there.
Now we are taking another step as we start the building phase of the children's home. We are meeting regularly with a local architect and drawing up plans. This takes a lot of time and work, but we are excited to see things coming together.
We are also very excited to tell you, what is given to the building fund before December, will be matched by one of our very generous donors! That means if you give twenty dollars it will really be forty and one hundred will really be two hundred! This has been such a wonderful surprise and blessing to us. We look forward to starting the building soon!
We would like to keep you updated on our needs as we get close to the end of the year. Christmas is a big time for us. Each year we give each child we work with a gift. Most children otherwise would not receive anything. We also plan to have a party for the young single moms and our bible study group. This requires a lot of time and planning so we have to start now.
We also are in great need of a big van or small bus. Right now we have a seven passenger van. As our family and work continues to grow we need a bigger car to get around. We would appreciate you keeping this in your prayers.
God is teaching us about faith. He shows us His faithfulness in so many ways everyday! We appreciate so much your faithfulness. We could not do this work without you. Many lives are being changed and soon many children will have a place that they can call home. God bless you!
Much Love,
Enrique and Charlyn
